You get a home a few decades old coming on the market every few weeks, and in the current sellers’ market, it’s under offer before you’ve had chance to see it.

The funny thing is that we sometimes meet real estate agents who are trying to buy a home in Circle C. We met one in 2014 who had been trying to buy a house there for 18 months, and had finally decided to move on and look at a new home. So if real estate agents can’t buy themselves homes there, what chance does everyone else have? True, there are recipes for finding houses on the resale market, but it’s tricky and unpredictable.

The other option is to build a new home. It offers a few things – predictability, customization, and little things like modern building standards, lower utility bills, and a warranty. And finally, for night outs during occasions, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is right around the corner on Slaughter Lane.
